FedEx Buying Kinko's

from the one-stop-shop dept

FedEx has stepped up to buy Kinko's for $2.4 billion. It's an interesting move, and sort of one-ups UPS, who bought Mailboxes Etc. a few years ago, and have been increasingly trying to turn them into more of a Kinko's style competitor. There are definite synergies in the two companies, and it will be interesting to see what sort of changes FedEx makes to Kinko's over time. For now, they say they're keeping management in place.

I have not used Kinko's in years because they changed to a really stupid business model that is inconvenient to make copies.

Perhaps FEDEX will make changes for the better. We will see.
