Top Government Officials Bought Degrees Online With Your Tax Money

from the how-nice dept

Turns out that it's not just teachers and university presidents who buy their degrees online from so-called "diploma mills", but plenty of high ranking government officials - many of whom received "tuition-reimbursement" for the degree. Of course, as the article points out, the definition of what is a diploma mill is a bit tricky. Still, it seems clear that many people simply bought degrees online and used government funds to pay for them.

  • One reason for this

Part of teh reason for this is that many organizations pay and.or people more just because they have a slip of paper rather than on their actual skills. When you do things like that you encourage this behavior.
