Are People Still Clicking On Random Attachments?

from the what's-wrong-with-you-people? dept

Ok. There are two possibilities explaining the reports this morning that there's yet another virus spreading that works by getting people to click on a random attachment that promises a joke: the anti-virus companies are out hyping up yet another non-event or many people are just clueless. It's possible (and, perhaps, likely) that both may be true. By this point, how can there still be anyone who will click a random attachment? Still, the anti-virus companies love this stuff, as it helps them sell products. It makes you wonder if they're really trying to stop viruses at all. If they succeeded, they'd be out of business.

Yeah, they still exist. I work with them. One of them was infected today at work.

She's not the brightest bulb on the tree. Problem is that she's got a pretty standard IQ for this area. *sigh*
