Not-So-Independent Sources Continue To Pump Wireless Tech

from the talk-talk dept

Back in July, a small company was getting some buzz for some new wireless technology it said would deliver high data speeds at long ranges, backing it up with the opinion of a Princeton electrical engineering professor -- a professor on their board of advisers, something most news outlets didn't bother to mention. Four months later, the same company's at it again, trotting out the good professor -- whose vested interest in the company appears to again go unnoticed -- for an expert opinion at a demonstration and PR event. Apparently the demo worked, at least according to the company's oscilloscope and GPS unit, but if they're so confident that their technology is so good, some independent testing and verification of their claims, rather than the opinion of somebody affiliated with the company, would be useful.
