How Does This Supermodel Sound?

Longtime readers will recall my penchant for input devices, and so here is an interesting article on mimicking a violin. The problem here is that both the input and the output have to be modelled so that the sound is realistic. While I doubt anyone will ever want to replace a real Stradivarius violin with a Strad-synthesizer, I do think that at some point no one will be able to tell the difference in sound.
