The Markup On A Dollar

Ok, so Levi’s will pay for old jeans. How about buying US dollar bills for $5.95? There’s nothing really special about these dollar bills except that their serial numbers have a lot of 8’s in them — a sign of luck in asian circles. My question is why they don’t charge $8.88…. Anyway, at least people aren’t putting 8’s in their middle names…. Oops, sorry.
