Windows On The World

from the kiosks-on-the-sidewalk dept

A UK design firm is hoping that they can bring the world a bit closer together by placing internet connected kiosks around the world. Each kiosk has two sides: a mirror side and a window side. The mirror side records what you do and broadcasts it out to other such kiosks. The window side lets you look at what's happening at other kiosks around the world. Of course, I expect that (depending on the location & software) these kiosks will be found slightly damaged, displaying a blue screen of death most of the time. But, otherwise, it sounds like a nice idea.

Sounds like a high-tech version of the LOTR palantir (seeing stone). Does it allow the burning eye to see all?
