What To Do When An ID Thief Strikes

from the useful-info dept

MSNBC is continuing their "all scams, all the time" coverage with an article about what you should do if you're a victim of identity theft. Basically, they admit that it sucks, but you're responsible for proving that you are who you say you are, and that you haven't done all the terrible things your credit report says you have. They say most people spend about 175 hours recovering from identity theft. They also link to this page, which has a very good explanation for how to organize your identity theft case.
