I never realized how difficult it was to distinguish between "content" and a "service" until all these reports started coming out where it appears people confuse them all the time. First there was the study saying that people will pay for content online, when what it really said was people will pay for a "dating service" online. Now, here's another story talking about how some people will pay for content online, when they're really talking about people paying to play fantasy sports online. Once again, that's a service. It's a service that involves the user - thus making them more willing to pay. Except in a few very rare cases, people just aren't interested in paying for simple content online. Wrapping that "content" into a service is a different story, however...
