Digital Rights Management Needs Government Support?

from the says-who? dept

A fairly stunning research report says that the government needs to force the adoption of digital rights management technology for their to be worthwhile content online. Yeah, that's right, there's absolutely nothing online these days that's worthwhile. I wonder how the internet is still even alive. When will it occur to people that the value of the internet is in connecting people and information and in delivering services? It's not about content. The internet is not a broadcast medium, and all DRM technology does is make it less useful as a medium.
