New World Record For Mobile Phone Chucking
from the time-to-consolidate-competitions dept
It appears that mobile phone throwing contests are showing up everywhere. Sooner or later we're going to need to consolidate the various contests and have national committees and drug scandals and such like any good sporting event. However, in addition to similar contests we've spoken about in Ukraine and the UK comes news of a similar contest in a non-"Uk" place: Finland - where you can bet they're tossing Nokia phones. In fact, they're throwing Nokias so well that they've officially set a new world record for mobile phone chucking: approximately 219 feet (66.72 meters for those among you who prefer things in nice understandable metric units).

Are there weight classes involved with the record distance? Or is is the competition divided by manufacturer? Or maybe consumer response is the only qualification?

I'd imagine it should be divided by cell carrier ... ( grin )
