The media loves fallen stars, and so it’s really not a huge surprise to hear that “fallen star” analyst Henry Blodget – who once made a name for himself by predicting that Amazon.com’s stock would reach $400, which turned into a self-fulfilling prophecy – has been hired by Slate to report on the Martha Stewart trial. Slate’s editor suggests that Blodget will have a “unique perspective” on the trial – since both have been associated with questionable securities dealings.
