How Much Could You Buy In A Two Hour Internet Shopping Binge?

from the keep-on-buying... dept

Three German teens, who claim they were "bored", went on a bit of an internet shopping binge after hacking into an online auction site. In the course of two hours, they "bought" $160 million worth of goods. $160 million. In two hours. That's quite a lot. So, what did they buy? "Light aircraft, patents, industrial machinery, restaurants and artwork." I wonder what patents they bought.

    only $160m?

They must not get into town very often.

Hell, I could have spent that much buying certificates of realestate ownership for poperty on the Moon.

A few cessna citations, learjets and mig21 fishbeds later I could have had an hour left to spare.
