Based on a few tasks, a survey found that Google's search results are no better than its competitors. This isn't that surprising -- the differences between search engines should narrow as searching technology matures. The issue really is how loyal users are to a particular search engine and why. For example, Google's user interface might be arguably better, even if its search results are similar to its competitors. And Google's expansion of services suggests that they realize searching isn't the beginning and end of their business.
