While the US government continues to do everything in its power to push out the highly lucrative online gambling industry, and turn everyone involved in it into criminals, other countries are eagerly embracing it. In the UK, the finance minister said that as part of the country’s budgetary plans, it hopes to lure in online gambling firms, many of which are located in tax havens, like Gibraltar. Instead of charging them a typical corporate tax, they will only face a small 2-3% levy. Already, some internet casinos are eager to move. In addition to the bump in tax revenue that the country will see, the government should be in a better position to regulate the industry and protect gamblers from shady dealings. This is in contrast to the US, which, by pushing online gambling further underground, ensures that it will be less safe for American gamblers.

The online gambling industy in the US just failed to line the right pockets in D.C. If they had done this at the outset, there porbably would never have been a problem.
We all know this country (the US, in case you aren’t paying attention or have had too much alcohol or drugs, like me ;)) is run by power and money, nothing else. If you can get the money to the power, you’ve got it made. Power and money trumps laws, constitutions, bills of rights and, well, really anything else you can think of. You want to think I’m wrong, but you know I’m not.

what are you talking about #3? It’s incredibly hard to rig a game like poker or the like where the house doesn’t play a hand; yes, they collect a house percentage on poker but they have nothing more to gain if you lose a hand.
Or maybe you’re simply a bad card player and don’t understand odds as well as the other players and this is just sour grapes for you.

I used to believe that gambling was a bad thing and would break down family life and leave the gambler with no money and in the poor house. how wrong I was just think for a moment life is all above gambling you buy a house on the hope it will increase in value you take a mortgage out with the hope you will be able to meet the payments each month.
