Think Schools Want WiFi?

Intel and Acer recently put on a little promotion where they promised to WiFi-up 120 schools. They asked for applications and figured they'd just pick the most deserving of those that applied. What they didn't expect was that well over 1,000 schools would apply and they wouldn't be able to sort through all the applications to pick the most deserving. Instead, they're going with a pure lottery system to pick the winners. Still, it does highlight the fact that many school districts are very interested in WiFi, but haven't yet set themselves up yet (for any number of reasons, including budgetary constraints, lack of technology know how, or simple lack of it being a priority).
