DOJ Looking Into PTT Competition

It appears that the Justice Department is starting to poke around concerning competition in the push-to-talk space. You may recall all the back and forth trash-talking lawsuit match over push-to-talk with Verizon suing Nextel and Nextel suing Verizon. This looks to just be an extension of that. Speaking of which, whatever happened to the push-to-talk craze? For about two months, it was big news, and then it completely dropped off the face of the earth. Was it just overshadowed by local number portability and the feeding frenzy over AT&T Wireless, or is it that the numbers aren't looking so hot? Perhaps, instead of beating each other over the head, Verizon Wireless, Nextel, Sprint PCS and whoever else, should have focused on growing the market.
