Turning Your Phone Into The Antenna Itself

As the various handset makers have tried to hide a phones antenna as much as possible, one company has come up with something of a unique solution. They've created a plastic that builds the antenna directly into the casing of the phone as the material "conducts heat, electricity and radio-frequency energy nearly as well as copper," but can be mixed into plastic and formed into just about any possible shape. They believe the material, called Electriplast has many other potential uses from improving the efficiency of LED lighting to creating in-floor radiant heating. It certainly sounds like the technology has a ton of potential to be very useful - but as with many new materials technologies, it would be nice to have a bit more proof concerning how well it really works.
