Cisco Using Linksys To Upsell

To date, Cisco has pretty much left the Linksys brand alone (though, it's likely plenty has been going on behind the scenes). However, now, they're starting to target small businesses by offering up to a 100% cash rebate for companies that upgrade from Linksys gear to Cisco small business routing, switching and wireless equipment. In other words, hook them with cheap Linksys equipment, and then push a discounted upsell. Of course, to do that, they'll have to explain to small businesses why that Linksys equipment they bought isn't good enough, and their small business equipment is better. For many small businesses, they'll already be just fine with the cheap Linksys equipment.
