Sick Of Crippled Camera Phones

It's been talked about before, but now the press seems to be catching on to the fact that subscribers are angry that carriers are deliberately making it difficult to get camera phone photos off a phone. The carriers think about it in terms of revenue generation -- realizing that if they force people to send the photos as MMS messages, they'll make some extra cash. What they forget, of course, is that annoying people to make cash generally isn't a very good long term strategy. Even worse, camera phones are still an emerging market, and people aren't entirely sure what to do with MMS to the point that they're losing interest in the technology. However, by punishing people by making them use MMS when they would prefer to use something else (Bluetooth, USB, email... whatever), the carriers are damaging the reputation of MMS and simply driving users away.
