  I watched a TV show, Highway thru Hell, canadian and about big tow truck operators. It's on USofA Weather Channel during prime viewing and filler for after midnight till their morning show. At some point in its long run all logo, semi-truck lettering and load identifiers are blurred. My take is it was driven by frivolous legal suits. It's Canada so maybe it is what the show must do because funding. I would never try to drive on roads that still reflect man on horse with javelin in righthand.

  Like I said, if there is nothing worth watching why bother. hBO/Cinemax, Showtime were the adults in the room. Dinner and a movie (or must see nest episode of ). Sold well on cable because quality writing, production, and no bullshit. Funny: The series "Banshee" on Cinemax had website with background on every episode plus actor interview (on DVD extras hen printed.) A quote from character, " ...I couldn't tell my father I was in a Cinemax series - Cinemax was considered light porn. " Exact quote on dvd. There are no good guys in that series. Sheriff is excon, the woman married to the procurator is Ukraine crime boss's daughter hiding , and the Amish "businessman" ran the town. Spoiler - local tribe on the "res" had issues with Amish. All gone, studio production closed. A TELCOM has no skill set here but they sure know how to soak market in junk reality TV.

  My blank stare is telling

  1. There is a huge catalogue of movies and series that are tied up in various legal contracts. You could also trust studios to attempt making quality films. Make the physical disks with some material that sits on the shelf.

  Streaming sidesteps all value added marketing to store shelves. Remember the $5 bin at Video Stores? BTW, pawn shops got hit with "remove that media, DVD sets like -- Buffy... and more. So, after removing films from secondary market where are we. Publishers have "tear off" -- cover art removed, balance to landfill. Tapes, dvd files of some older works got that kind of treatment.

  1. The movies and series that have been in the past several years are just outside my interest. Not reading comic books as a youth I thought Marvel/Netflix did good with that endeavor. Now, those properties are basically chop-shop-to-bits by any suit with a cause. I have a rather broad interest but how many redo and swap characters around can be endured.
  2. if there is nothing I want to watch on any service why bother. What about the series that take on big issues? I liked "Babylon Berlin" -- no buzz when it was released to video.

  The independent "Movie Maker" gets too little support from the distribution brokers. <-- Opinion Alert. Lastly, funny thing about the streaming is its quality. It cannot have the high Q of a MPEG2 in many products. The 4K Ultra or whatever does not look any better on a mobile or tablet 1080p. Maybe that is the worst keep secret. 99% of my mobile or tablet movies are SD stream, HD when stated, Extra for BIG $4K is throwing money away. Get bigass (65" and bigger) TV and 4k disk player and compare to DvD/blu-ray player and same TV. Sorry about the rant. I have NASA stream live via %6k modem via REALPLAYER that look better than network streaming service. Now it's live youtube NASA, SpaceX, car racing and other not-ball-sports. I am easily entertained by good stories and well produced movies/series. The biggest problem is the lack of well thought out movie and series. Last streamed series that had the nerve to make me laugh and need a tissue was on Netflix. (they learned one simple thing - comic to live action must not have all sort of stupid inserted from pop culture not in the source. #DevidFruit

  I used to listen to radio station air checks. Seems video/TV/Movies have to rlie on luck. Catalogues are so merged that I bet Evil Corp cannot wait to sell off car parts. Hulu will be lost. I hope this Museum gets protected.

  I have heard those stats. Home-schooled children seem to be doing okay (mostly my nieces) I never went to public school beyond middle school. The bs factor was to much. I didn't get any of the socialization that "education" supplied. Teachers should teach and save trendy social experiments for college. After 2004 - 1977 in software and hardware engineering then on to retire i am Mr-Wait-And-See.

  My pet peeve is backup video my wife's Subaru has. Pain to backup in a tight space, some is due to auto brake. (fun sound when brake engages for no apparent reason. Safety first. Cooler door product is just poor design or not understanding store foot traffic. Stores are a nightmare of product fighting for space and steering shoppers to stuff they probably don't want. so, dashing in the pharmacy for drinks is the simplest thing this product got wrong.

  I know. The fundamental Christian view of p0rn is exterminate (VO: Daleks). The problem fundamental religion has is not that different than what a cult has - there is no room for other ideas at the table. The "Right-To-Life" fundamental Christians also view abortion (VO: Daleks, exterminate). There is a trend to label this small and noisy group "The GOP" in the press (scary quote required). MAYBE [fundamental] religion is forgetful of other people's right to attend church they choose and say 1st amendment is for all. P0rn was settled by Larry Flint and feds if I recall. Project 2025 - In a foreword by Heritage Foundation’s president Kevin D Roberts, he outlines a vision of a United States free of “pornography.” Easy answer is p0rn is not going anywhere. BTW Mr. Roberts, is it left or right hand that gets cut off first offense viewing p0rn?

  yeah, sometimes type a fast comment and skip proof read. FNC is NOT news like 6pm local channel. What the cable 'news channels' are is more like a broadcast channel morning show except that the format goes around the clock. All of these channels including CNN are opinion/commentary. There are some fun stuff like comedy late night. I don't understand why 'Fox News Channel is the monster to slay, ever hear the stupid from the other channels? It;s there. Take some info away and forget the op-ed rants. That said don't miss Gutfeld show.

  My for a fee vanity tag from 1980's MD DMV

  The tag was for a Ford pickup truck, the little one. The custom paint and some chrome wheels and street tires. limited edition. MUFFY No problem. When asked why the "drug dealer looking truck" with that tag? I usually just piss off cops.GF at the time thought tag referred to dumb entitled names around well off snobs. I never corrected the conclusion. When I fetched wife from her cousin via Sportster she asked if I sold the truck MUFFY. No I said. (rant about my too tall GF sitting on "her muffy" i had to defuse - the tall GF is off to get married and squeeze out babies and we are invited to wedding.) I said hop on I need to stop at Hammerjacks; whee is nancy I asked. End of the part for public. Where were the nannies? I wonder if MUFFY is now MD DMV list of cannot use. Actually I don't care as wife buys cars and I just try to relax and say, "That Rally Race Car looks good". Confuses sales people because she is the consumer not me. (hello Subaru that I will never look under the hood.) State: Need more money. State police: custom tags, (md DMV is state police) State rolls out vanity tags. Probably had some offensive letter combinations not allowed. If I dare look the current list: very long and stupid. Personal message evolved into crazy hassle. And no "muffdiver" is not on the request - only one selection MUFFY. Now I go away.

  I am happy that I don't have to put up with any of this. On the downside, it is laughable that policy mandates, the shot or fired, and shut down that noise social media has when we demand compliance. Spanish Flu did not have have big pharma to stir the pot of lies by omission. Worst pandemic ever I read in some media. Bull, the pandemic that should have never happened (never say it was government trying to bypass laws that made experiments illegal.) Almost forgot; the 2nd Amendment is in hysteria and SCOUS is telling states to stop the insane make all firearms illegal crap. bye
