I write Raw Materials Econ to help entrepreneurs succeed during these uncertain times. a President's job (as Jay Greathouse)

is to sell whatever program the handlers want sold by the official U.S. top salesperson, Obama is just another PR flack

the election campaign was a scam, all everyone ever talked about was Obama, the results were obviously predictable

heap on the invective if that is your hobby, the President is the designated public target for that, but you are only fooling yourself if you think significant meaning change will ever come from the top

about time for meaningful government leadership (as Jay Greathouse)

finally some branch of government does something worth following, we all need to tell ASCAP, BMI, SESAC To Get Lost Over Royalty Bills

they are the blood sucking parasites damaging the music business today, about time someone told the monopolies to take a hike, they had their gravy days when music distrubution technology was in its early days, now there is no need to put up with the pouty spoiled brats

so boycott eMusic already (as Jay Greathouse)

really, if musicians do not care enough about their fans than to leave them at the mercy of the same old monopolistic corporations and their willing agents, then screw them and go find musicians that connect directly and make their music directly available

there are virtually no barriers to entry to becoming a musician, you can find them everywhere, if you don't like the abuse then find someone who cares, otherwise you are just another perpetual victim always seeking a new dysfunctional abusive relationship, good fans finding bad music outlets, life is too short

stop trying to reform psychopaths (as Jay Greathouse)

At what point are well-intentioned people going to give up on unredeemable psychopaths and stop giving them attention? The RIAA is not going to fix itself, the WSJ is not going to fix itself, AP is not going to fix itself and they will all go down fighting to preserve their fiefdoms.

I make every effort to network with thoughtful considerate people and walk away from @$$holes. It just does away with a lot of bull$hit. Anyone who gets sucked into their games better learn how to disconnect before they are completely drained of blood. Otherwise they are just dead people walking.

So I address my words to those worth saving, those who can clearly see how screwed up the entrenched power structures, or even have a clue about it, and say let's just build the systems we want.
